(en) In 2017, the European Commission issued a draft European regulation introducing a new personal pension product that pursues both economic / financial and pension sustainability objectives in a process of realization of the internal market. Following a description of this new product that the draft EU Regulation aims to introduce, this contribution will address two issues related to the relevance of the Union's intervention and its potential impact on the current supply for personal pension products.
