Abstract
The history of Bulgarian comics reflects the influence of cultural shifts and visual arts. During the totalitarian era (1946–1989), comics were shaped by Soviet propaganda. Today, Bulgarian comics adapt to democratization, globalization, and digital trends, becoming part of a hybrid visual culture that blends traditional and modern media.
