Abstract
The CMS silicon tracker is the largest silicon detector ever built. It’s constituted of a 66 million channels pixel detector and a 10 million readout channels silicon strip detector with an active area of approximately to 200 m 2 . This document presents an overview of the operational experi- ence gained during the last running period and the performance achieved including the impact on physics.
