Abstract
Non-alcoholic fatty liver sidease is seen as the hepatic compliaction of the metabolic syndrome of insulin resistnace. In this presentation, we will see that, beyond suffering the consequence of the metabolic syndrome, the liver is a crucial player in metabolic and inflammatory disorders and a key participant in the pathogenesis of the metabolic syndrome and associated cardio-vascular risk.
