- (en) This paper aims to contextualize the Rwandan stories, published in the first decade of the twenty-first century, by the Belgian comics author Jean-Philippe Stassen. They consist of fictions and of nonfictional reports, all of which are located in Rwanda. Along with taking into account this context of multifaceted works, this paper also considers their publication context : postcolonial Belgium in the 2000s. It is assumed here that the representation and reported speech of Belgian characters, in Stassen’s comics, open the way to that context.
