Abstract
(en) Neurological involvement is one of the most disabling complications of Behçet disease. Most patients with Neuro-Behçet disease (NBD) adequately respond to corticosteroids and usual immunosuppressive therapies such as azathioprine, cyclophosphamide or methotrexate. Those remaining refractory require an alternative treatment approach. The use of monoclonal antibodies against tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor has increased over time since promising results have been shown in several case reports or small case series.
