Abstract
The article discusses the relationship of evidence-based medicine (EBM) with health promotion. He states that evidence-based health promotion is a worthy goal to achieve but it is difficult to attain, in which theory can be a valuable alternative. He also notes that broad theories of health promotion can in identifying the challenges and point out the general direction where the field must progress.
