- (en) This article explores the ways in which Egyptian Charismatic Christians participated to the post-revolutionary public sphere. The Qasr al-Dûbbâra Evangelical Church, the Bible Society, and Father Sam‘ân’s Church in Muqattam organized intercessory prayers for Egypt. Those performances were showing a will to support the Revolution which was perceived as a result of the faithful’s prayers. The article underlines the deep ambivalence of the Charismatics’ participation who seemed to perceive the events shaking the country as a sign of a close return of Jesus Christ, but who were, at the same time, sharing the aspirations for change of their fellows Muslims citizens.
