Rm 5:1-11. The author begins by situating this passage within its literary and theological context in the Epistle to the Romans. Then, it examines the various difficulties encountered, whether textual, philological, exegetical, or literary, providing an in-depth analysis of each issue. The author proceeds by offering a comprehensive and synthetic reading of the passage, taking calculated interpretative risks. Among these interpretations are an innovative ethical reading of Rm 5:1 and a distinctive approach to Rm 5:2-3, which contrasts with the majority of contemporary readings. This approach is marked by a particular sensitivity to the socio-historical and socio-cultural context of the time.
