Abstract
(en) This note exposes beacons for reading and understanding the principal Walloon built configurations at the level of public space and urban block. The objective is to describe these configurations through the thematic of density and to analyze them in their capacity to be transformed via a process of densification by the habitat. The illustration of densification of these built configurations makes it possible to place the emphasis on the possible gains in terms of life quality improvement but also to reveal the harmful effects of a densification out of control or not framed by a global project. With this intention we carried out a cartographic modeling to define the various principal Walloon built configurations. Each one of these configurations is then illustrated in the form of a sheet including a description, a contextualization, an analysis, an evaluation of the opportunities to bring quality, comments and warning statements as for its densification.
