(en) TO THE EDITOR : Mycobacterium abscessus is an opportunistic pathogen notorious for its antibiotic resistance and poor treatment outcomes.1 Treatment regimens for M abscessus pulmonary disease consist of an intensive phase of 2 to 3 months of IV antibiotics (including amikacin, imipenem or cefoxitin, and tigecycline) combined with oral drugs (including clofazimine, linezolid, azithromycin).
