Abstract
Our preclinical data indicate that KDs could be considered as an auxiliary therapy of wild-type, NRAS mutated as well as BRAF mutated melanomas. Further analysis will reveal whether the anti-tumor effects could be associated with unique metabolic changes induced by KDs. The effect of KD on melanoma progression was independent of the immune status of the mice, indicating that the effect of the KDs on tumor proliferation does not entirely depend on an intact immune system as suggested recently.
