Abstract
In the Great African Lakes Region, East Africa, Burundi (27800 km2) is a high densely populated country. Mumirwa is one of Burundi's 11 natural regions, located in the western part of the country. Burundi is a mountainous country in which the Congo-Nile ridge separates contrasting eastern and western slopes.
