- Le père Sam'ân est l'un des plus célèbres représentants d'une nouvelle tendance charismatique au sein de l'Eglise copte. Celle-ci, largement influencée par les missionnaires américains, prône un contact direct avec le Christ et s'exprime à travers l'émotion. Le prêtre est également le leader spirituel d'une communauté de chiffonniers qui vit dans un quartier informel proche du centre ville. Sam'ân y a bâti un impressionnant lieu de culte au creux des falaises du Muqattam. Cet article revient sur son parcours et l'influence qu'il exerce au sein d'une tendance en pleine ascension.
