Abstract
This research project investigates the discursive construction of postcolonial debates in three former colonial powers (FCP, i.e. Belgium, Spain and the United Kingdom) in a corpus composed of recent press articles published in these three FCP, as well as of interviews with members of diasporas from one of these countries' former colonies (FC, i.e. the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bolivia and Kenya). It approaches these debates from two main perspectives: i) who (i.e. FC/FCP voices) intervenes in media in the context of such debates and how are these voices intervening presented (by journalists and by themselves), and ii) what representations of these FC/FCP's responsibilities are discursively construed by these different voices.
