Comment organiser la collaboration entre les médecins généralistes et l’équipe de concertation multidisciplinaire de chirurgie bariatrique lors de l’évaluation préopératoire ?
(en) [How to organize collaboration between general practitioners and the multidisciplinary bariatric surgery team during the preoperative assessment?] Despite national recommendations, collaboration between general practitioners and the multidisciplinary bariatric surgery team during the preoperative evaluation remains rare. This study used the Delphi method to characterize this collaboration and define its practical modalities. Twenty-four experts (8 general practitioners and 16 specialists from 5 Brussels hospitals) participated in three rounds of online questionnaires. Quantitative analysis based on Likert scales made it possible to establish a consensus and qualitative analysis of comments generated new proposals. Of the 31 proposals, 29 reached a consensus, defining the specific aspects of this collaboration. The need to systematically involve general practitioners in the preoperative evaluation was established, at least through a standardized and reproducible written report. A referral form for general practitioners was developed based on the validated proposals.
