Abstract
To establish a relation between the user preferences and accuracy while using a VR or MR system and the set of components (technical, functional and perceptual) used in the system conception is yet a challenge. In this work we study the user reaction in relation to image guided surgery applications using different kind of visualization and guidance. Our goal is to identify practical basis that explains how mixed reality interfaces might provide support and augmentation for interactive applications. To accomplish that, we propose a model that allows the identification of the contribution of each independent variable in the final user interaction. The contribution rates were identified by applying user tests.
