Abstract
Reaction of the asymmetric ligand, 1-[3′-(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)propyl] tetrazole (L) with Cu(BF 4) 2 in water leads to the Cu II metal-organic framework [CuL(OH)]BF 4 (I). According to X-ray analysis, L connects four Cu II ions, where the 1,2,4-triazole and tetrazole units exhibit a bridging bis-monodentate μ 2-N1,N2 and a unique μ 2-N2,N3 coordination modes, respectively. © 2012 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
