Chronic low level lead exposure remains an under recognized cause of microcytic anaemia and neurodevelopmental impairment in children. Early diagnosis is challenging when symptoms overlap with Iron Deficiency Anaemia (IDA) or neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
