Abstract
Bianca Felicori's lecture explored the foundation of a new architecture (1950-70) through the projects of Archigram, Ant Farm, Ken Isaacs and Guy Rottier. In particular, Felicori, starting from a reconstruction of the background to the foundation of this new architecture, investigated the new ways of living that arose after the crisis of the Second World War. The lecture focused on the relationship between architecture and artistic processes in the light of the introduction of new technological and mechanised media in architecture. In particular, the lecture explored the case of Archigram and the different etymologies used to describe the housing units built during the 1960s (David Green, Spray House, 1961; Warren Chalk, Capsule Homes, 1964; Michael Week, Cushicle and Suitaloon, 1966; David Green, Living Pod, 1967).
