Abstract
After a brief description of the main characteristics and specificities of terrorism victimization, this presentation examines the impact of these specificities on the potential development of restorative justice in the field of violent extremism. It presents an adapted model of RJ at micro, meso and macro level in order to address the expectations and needs of direct victims but also of indirect/vicarious victims of terrorism and its broader impact on the dissolution of the social link. This theoretical framework also includes a short overview of the main types of restorative programs/experience that can be/were used in view of responding to violent extremism in Europe.
