Abstract
In view of the recent improvements in the evaluation of the correction terms in superallowed Fermi Ft-values, we revisit the limits on scalar couplings deduced from their constancy as a function of energy release. Taking into account the presence of possible core non-overlap effects, the limit on the corresponding Fierz interference term b(F) becomes 1.6 x 10(-2) at 90-degrees CL, i.e. about three times less restrictive than previously estimated.
