- Abstract
- The article will question the conditions and the stakes of patrimonialisation process through the example of Ancely large housing estate (grand ensemble) in Toulouse, labelled Architecture Contemporaine Remarquable, and the struggle of its inhabitants for the maintenance of the swimming pool, whose recent closure endangers the idea of community and the quality of life within the neighborhood. After the presentation of inhabitants’ militant actions, we will question the object of the patrimonialization starting from different representations. We will observe how the patrimonialisation process crystallises the debate between groups of actors identified by different system of values and interests and a commitment to the recognition, protection, transformation or rejection of the patrimonialisation and its objects.
