Abstract
We thank Anderson and Mori [1, 2] for their comments on the editorial entitled ‘Aortic valve repair techniques: state of the art in 2017’. We are very honoured because the anatomical studies by Robert Anderson represent a major contribution to the current understanding on aortic valve function and the dynamic role of the interleaflet triangle which has led to systolic aortic root expansion for a stress-less opening and closure of the aortic valve [3].
