Abstract
This research employs a qualitative approach in the tradition of CCT (Arnould and Thompson 2005; Özçağlar-Toulouse and Cova 2010) to explore the interconnectivity of space, mobility and consumption in the context of work activities. We question the extended consumption phenomenon (Arnould and Price 1993) and the construction of the social sphere in a ‘liquid’ environment (Bauman 2000; Bardhi, Eckhardt and Arnould 2012) while looking at how collaborative consumption (Botsman and Rogers 2010), spaces and work are interconnected in the realm of second and third places (Oldenburg 1999, Soja 1996).
