Abstract
(en) Reading and oral language: oral language skills as predictive factors for text reading In this research, 183 children (7 years-12 years) were observed on accuracy in oral text reading and on 22 psycholinguistic variables. This include phonological accuracy, metalinguistic abilities, lexical abilities such rapid naming of colors, production of low fréquent nouns and of adjectives, comprehension and production of sentences with various structures and morphosyntactic contrasts. The results show that metaphonological and mnesic abilities are significatively linked with reading accuracy in each group until 12 years. The weight of lexical and syntactic abilities increase with the chidren’s growth.
