Abstract
The contribution discusses how the environment relates to human rights (and even possibly other rights) in Europe todays and why such discussion matters, including in relation to the Green deal and the challenges of climate neutrality. It shall also assess the stand of play and discussions around the explicit recognition of a right to a healthy environment at the scale of the European Union or even Council of Europe.
