Abstract
The results presented in this paper concern the analysis and the design of a controller for a purely numerical furnace. The mathematical nature of the simulated furnace allows a wide range of perturbations and an unlisted set of measurements. Although both the furnace and the identification tool selected for this study are simplified models, the design of complex control strategies for industrial process may also be tackled by this method.
