Abstract
cGMP is an important second messenger which regulates cardiac contractility and protects the heart from hypertrophy. However, due to the lack of real time imaging techniques, specific subcellular mechanisms and spatio-temporal dynamics of cGMP in adult cardiomyocytes are not well understood.
