Abstract
The paper deliberately imitates Rancière’s compact and assertive style. A special attempt is made here in order to present and articulate in a straightforward way the main insights of what the author calls “politics of aesthetics”. These insights are brought together in ten theses, interconnected by strong logical links, often implicit in Rancière’s writings. The last part of the paper mentions and leaves open some problematic and hesitant aspects of rancierian thought. In particular, central objections are made to politics of art in terms of "suspension" and "void" (« une vacance »).
