Abstract
In this article, we present the cognitive perspective in the evaluation of acquired cognitive disorders. The cognitive evaluation is presented as a theoretically motivated search for the localisation of the disorders in a cognitive architecture which describes the processes and the representations activated in domain-specific tasks. The rationale of the cognitive evaluation is illustrated in the case of reading and writing disorders.
