Abstract
Filling the holes: CAL-1, a novel precursor for the acidic solid-state catalyst H-SAPO-34, was characterized by X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform IR spectroscopy. Synthesis starting from a layered aluminophosphate precursor yields a product with a layered organization of the organic templates n-butylammonium (nBA, blue/gray), and hexamethylenimine (HMI, yellow).
