Abstract
A translation and extension are presented of a previous paper (see paper P71.0, Proceedings CIE, Barcelona, Spain (1971)). More detailed discussions have been added on a few aspects which could not be considered in the original paper, namely on the influence of the slit-function of the monochromator being used. It is shown that the uncertainty on the actual shape of this function has an overall effect of the second order only and may thus be neglected.
