- To the Editor, A 47-year-old man presented to the outpatient clinic with upper back and forearm pain. A day prior, he underwent needle electromyography (EMG) to evaluate his digastric right flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU) muscle for research purposes. On the evening of the procedure, the patient developed severe pain at the needle injection site, generalized ipsilateral arm and periscapular pain, as well as numbness in his right 2nd and 3rd fingers.
