- Abstract
- The thesis aims at demonstrating that the IMSC reaction, developed in our laboratory constitutes an adequate tool for the total synthesis of ladder polyethers, which are complex natural products produced by micro-algae belong to the family of dinoflagellates. These molecules are highly toxic and the amounts amounts available from natural sources are extremely small. As a consequence, total synthesis might be a good alternative compared to extraction from nature. This could allow to study more efficiently their mechanisms of action.
