Abstract
During a revision of the genus Perenniporia Murr., the type specimen of Polyporus straminellus Bres. and Ii stipitata Ryv. have been examined besides some recent collections of the latter taxon. As a result, we concluded that Pol. straminellus better should be placed! in Microporellus Murr. II stipitata is so far be restricted to south and central America.
