- (en) [Chronic radiodermatitis due to endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair] We present an unusual case of chronic radiodermatitis, secondary to prolonged fluoroscopically- guided abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. This complication was diagnosed and efficiently treated in a 78-year-old man who suffered from lumbar skin-burn injury, 3 weeks after endovascular aortic stenting. In this article, we provide an overview of radiodermatitis pathophysiology and highlight the relevance of early diagnosis, while favoring prevention management among the therapeutic options.
