Abstract
In the aftermath of the cold war, the emergence of the globalization phenomenon opened new perspectives in the analysis of the international system. Furthermore, when the World Bank published in 1992 a report underlining the concept of governance, it defined such concept as: “a way in which power is exercised in the management of economic and social resources of a country, notably with the view to development.” (World Bank, 1992, v). The implications of its implementation appeared to have major consequences not only PN the negotiation process between IGO’s of global governance and countries in need, but also between States and non-States actors in the international system. Since then recent development in global governance are noticeable, among others in the issue of the place of the State in this process. The aim of this paper is to underline the impact global governance and its recent developments on the conceptual agenda (the place of the State, the issue of sovereignty…) of research in international relations.
