Abstract
The talk reconsiders the place of photography within contemporary art. Drawing on Victor Burgin's concept of the "Uncinematic", it will be argued that in recent art photography is addressed less in terms of specific photographic features, but through "unphotographic" contexts and media such as film, sculpture, painting, installation, and mash-up techniques.
