Abstract
(en) Accurate lifetime measurements by the recoil-distance method following Coulomb excitation with 40Ar ions have been performed in 106,108Pd, 103Rh, 107,109Ag. The results are compared with the predictions of the Core Particle Weak Coupling model on the one hand, and of various boson-fermion symmetries and supersymmetries, on the other hand. Good agreement with the latter but not with the former is obtained. This suggests the influence of a finite number of bosons in the relevant nuclei.
