Abstract
A demanding goal for energy storage systems harnessing solar power is the integration of three-dimensional superstructures and nanomaterials with unique mechanical and optoelectronic properties onto large surfaces to allow for efficient energy harvesting and conversion. Recent studies on all solid-state Li-ion batteries, integrated to glass, are discussed with a focus on electrochromic materials that enable the expected optical functionalities. Moreover, the challenges for miniaturized battery management systems that control the temperature of the integrated systems are discussed.
