- Few studies assessed the efficacy of physiotherapy to managed lower urinary tract dysfunction in multiple sclerosis patients. According to the International Classification of Functioning, handicap and health, we conducted a randomized controlled trial in order to compare the efficacy of pelvic floor muscle training vs posterior tibial nerve stimulation. Our results showed that these two techniques improve quality of life of patients and symptoms related to urgency. In order to avoid the limits of questionnaires in urology, the Rash model was used to develop ACTIVLIM-URO, an unidimensional clinical scale measuring activity limitations in patients with overactive bladder.
