Abstract
In the last few years, there have been many theoretical and practical contributions to the issue of social innovation and social enterprises. However, most of them lack to analyze the existing link between these two topics. This is the editorial article to the JEOD Special Issue on “Social innovation in Social enterprises: What is going on?” that aims to fill such a gap. In particular, the issue presents the theoretical implications, central aspects and some case studies on social innovation in social enterprises. Finally, the editorial concludes by presenting a summary of each articles.
