Abstract
The paper focuses on the building of nurses’ timetabling and surgical teams knowing the weekly schedule. The objective of the sequential approach adopted is to be able to do teams with high affinities while using the nurses efficiently. The problem is modeled as a mixed integer program and offers flexibility to consider any work pattern. The model is tested on real hospital data.
