Abstract
This presentation aims to contribute to the ongoing debate in the Anglo-Saxon and Francophone sociology of education on the need to reconceptualise the concept of “resistance”, by interpreting, from a sociohistorical approach, actors’ responses to global educational standards in sub-Saharan Africa.
