Abstract
Presentation of preliminary results of a qualitative research study with nurses working in acute psychiatric units in general hospitals. The study explores their lived-experience of their work in those units as well as of the relationshipwith the patients met in their units. The results are obtained through an interpretative phenomenological analysis.
