Abstract
My presentation concerns the objective and subjective relationships mobile pastoralists living in West Mongolia entertain with their “homeland”, “nutag”. As the ethnographiy reveals, it is impossible to study these relationships without taking into account kinship, mobility, fixity, temporality and ritual activity.
