Abstract
(en) [Overall focus on pain] The management of chronic pain patients has evolved over the past thirty years, which is the age of the Chronic Pain Consultation Unit, Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc. This anniversary gives us the opportunity to discuss the progress that has been made while clarifying the issues at stake. Drug treatments, the multidisciplinary approach, and operating networks are constructively discussed, without giving rise to illusions. The ultimate goal of this article is to stimulate thinking and improve patient care.
