Abstract
The application of the LGR Telemeasurement system to the forecasting of river flow discharge through public telephone network is described. A general description of the system of telemeasurement, in the case of its use with a mini-computer, shows the advantages of the system, for the collection of data as well as for the building and the use of a prediction model. With these data, an hydrological model of the basin is built. It consists of three models. The first one describes the transfer relating the flow discharge at the outlet of the basin to the outflows of the subbasins. The other two models refer to the subbasins and relate the outflow to the rainfall. These models will be used to forecast the flow at the outlet of the basin.
