In this presentation I will reconstruct Murray Bookchin's intellectual trajectory, his theorisation on communalism, the role of the Paris Commune in Bookchin's thought (including its critical take and the place the 1792 commune has in his construction of communalism), and the presence of the Paris Commune's element in today's communalist movements.
